What Can I Do When I Finish My Work?

Finished? Here are some great resources!

The purpose of this website:
Middle School students that have completed ALL of their course work should work within this site with the following links. Students should not be searching online for 'games'.
 
Checklist:
As a student, if you believe you have completed ALL of your assignments, go through the following checklist;
  • Daily assignments (all 7 courses)
  • Planner filled out for each class
  • Completed math assignment, journal, video (if applicable)
  • Checked grades in SIS Student Portal (for every subject)
  • Reading Log completed for the day
  • AR Goal at 100%
  • Acuity Lesson(s) completed- at least one per day
 
If you can check off EVERY item on the list above, then you may move to the links below.
 
Students who have work to complete should not be using this site!

 

Learn to write computer programming code, the fun way:

    Code.org has a number of fun games and activities to help you learn programming.

    Codecademy is a great site that uses a fun interface to teach you several different computer coding languages.

    Scratch is a game and animation block programming web app that you can use to make side scrollers, screamers, and other fun diversions.

    robozzle is a game where you use programming logic to complete maze puzzles.

    codecombat.com is a fun medieval fantasy game where you use programming code to make warriors complete quests and battle monsters.

Research Your Family History with Heritage Quest. You can use several search engines to learn where your family came from. Did they come from another country on a boat? Did your great-great-great grandfather fight in the Civil War? Find out here! (Only available on campus)

Read a good book:

    Project Gutenberg is a database of thousands of free eBooks. If you like classics, or strange hard-to-find titles, this is your site.
