Happy Fall!  Here's your October PTO News.

BOOK FAIR:

-We had a GREAT book fair in September!  Thanks to Mrs. Marler, FCCLA Students, 8th Grade Study Hall Students, Sunrise Teachers and Staff and our parent volunteers-Erin Smith, Tiffany Lane, Hannah Snudden, Jennifer Hannah, and Terry Gillam. Hope I didn't miss anyone. A BIG THANKS to our Sunrise parents for allowing their kids to participate and encouraging them to read!

-Check out all the great books Mrs. Marler was able to add to our Library!

MONTHLY MEETING:

-OPEN POSITIONS-We do have candidates for our open positions and PTO will be able to continue this year.  Elections will be held at tomorrow evening's meeting.

-PTO Bylaws will be reviewed tomorrow evening.

-PLAYGROUND Need-We need shady areas and are looking into some type of canopy for the preschool and general playground areas.  Terry Gillam has been looking in to some options.

-CLASSROOM ASSISTANCE-Discussion was held to think about how the PTO can assist Teachers and Parents in consideration of the tough economy the last few years.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

-BREAKFAST WITH SANTA & SANTA STORE-Erin Smith has been working on contacting companies for Store items and reviewing needs for our Breakfast.

ALL THIS AND MORE will be discussed at our next meeting, tomorrow evening, Tuesday, October 4, 2011, in the School Library. Please join us with your ideas.
